Heeran & Stuart: Royal Over-Seas League London Wedding

Heeran & Stuart's day was a beautiful celebration, featuring a wonderful combination of their different heritages.

The setting for their day was the Royal Over-Seas League, a stunning members club tucked away next to Green Park in Mayfair. The exquisite decoration of the club worked perfectly with the red roses and thistles of their wedding flowers, which they arranged themselves the day before the wedding after a trip to the Covent Garden flower market.

Their ceremony was held upstairs in the Drawing Room, and beautiful Heeran walked down the aisle to her choir performing a song for them - such a thoughtful and personal touch. Their ceremony was such a joyful one and filled with smiles and laughter, to the point where my face was hurting smiling behind my camera!

They finished their day with my ultimate favourite evening celebration, a ceilidh band! I absolutely love them - guests always get stuck in learning the dancing and they are a joy to photograph with everybody having an incredible time. I always wish I could join in!

Congratulations Heeran & Stuart, it was an absolute joy to photograph your day. I wish you every happiness!

Gill & Elliott: Bedford School & Stagsden Village Hall Wedding

One of the best bits about being a wedding photographer is getting to know and work with couples that you instantly "click" with.. and fast become friends with! Gill & Elliott were one such couple, and our first consultation turned into a few hours simply chatting about anything and everything.

Gill & Elliott were giddy with excitement as they exchanged their handwritten vows in front of family and friends in the stunning setting of Bedford School's Great Hall. With its huge windows, beautiful symmetry and balcony to shoot from and of course a lovely couple to boot, it's a photographer's dream.

One of the things I love most about their day was how much they supported local businesses in the wedding planning, most notably beautiful jewellery from Epanoui, hair styling and makeup at the Bluebird Salon, flowers from Blossom & Bramble and a gelato stand from the Spaghetti John restaurant. Wonderful!

After the ceremony, their guests hopped on a bus to head to Stagsden village hall for the reception. It had a real focus on fun, with table tennis, Jenga, gelato and an amazing cocktail bar. And there is nothing better than food stands at a wedding reception!

Just before the first dance, we snuck out for some silly sparkler fun with Elliott, Gill and her bridesmaids. Lots of fun.. including some rude words of course!

Thank you ever so much for choosing us to photograph your day Gill & Elliott, we love you to bits and are so grateful to have been there capturing it for you. Wishing you every happiness!

"Just had our amazing photos back from Cat! She really is the best, we love them all! Anyone thinking of hiring her for a wedding, do it! You will not regret it and you will gain gorgeous pictures of your day. And she is the loveliest person too which always helps when you are having wedding morning stresses!" - Gill & Elliott

Laura & George: Mayfair Library Wedding

The 2016 wedding season has come toward us at lightning speed so I've only just had the chance to start blogging my lovely brides & grooms!

My wedding season started super early this year, with the lovely Laura & George's wedding in January. I was SO excited to return to Mayfair Library, after photographing Martina & Geku's stunning day there a few years ago.

Surrounded by their closest friends and family, their wedding was a heartfelt, intimate affair. After exchanging their vows, they left the library under a sprinkling of confetti for photographs in the Mount Street Gardens - you couldn't ask for a more picturesque place to take pictures so close to a wedding venue.

We parted ways after their portraits as they headed off to a restaurant to continue their celebrations. Congratulations Laura & George, I wish you every happiness for the future!

Laura & George's day is a wonderful example of how hourly wedding coverage can work for a smaller wedding day (available Mon-Thurs) On their day, they opted for 2 hours to cover the excitement of everybody arriving, the ceremony itself and portraits in the gardens afterwards. Sound like something you'd be looking for? Just get in touch and I'll be more than happy to help!

Sherie & Ian: Winter Wedding at Rockingham Castle, Northamptonshire

Our 2015 wedding season finished on a high note with Sherie & Ian's gorgeous wedding day, held at Rockingham Castle in Northamptonshire. This stunning castle made the perfect venue for their winter wedding, with its wooden beams, roaring fireplaces and bauble-laden Christmas trees.

Sherie met Ian at the end of the aisle wearing a beautiful customised halterneck dress, cathedral length veil and unique blue and bronze toned flowers. They were married in a heartfelt civil ceremony with their beagle dogs Bella & Gem as the ring bearers, running down the aisle when called with the rings around their necks!

They left their ceremony under a sprinkling of rose petal confetti, and we were so thrilled that Sherie & Ian were happy to brave the cold for a few minutes so we could shoot some portraits and make the most of the castle's gorgeous grounds!

Their celebrations were finished off with a night in the marquee, sharing a slideshow of photos of their lives together, dancing away to a fantastic band, and topping it all off with a firework display.

Thank you Sherie & Ian for having us photograph your day - we truly loved it and hope you had an amazing first Christmas together as husband and wife!

"Thank you so much, they are absolutely amazing and more than we had ever hoped for. I loved that you gave us some prints to show people straight away which of course we have been doing! Thanks again and I will definitely be recommending both of you for anyone else that is looking for a photographer." - Sherie & Ian

Wes & Gemma: Rainy British DIY Wedding at Quinton House

Wes & Gemma’s wedding day took place at Quinton House, a stunning private school which turns into a wedding venue in the summer, decorated from top to bottom in beautiful, colourful DIY elements that really made the venue their own. I believe the bride’s family even made the bouquets and buttonholes!

It rained on their wedding day from start to finish, and even though the bride and groom had planned lawn games, Pimms and scones in the garden as part of their celebrations, they didn’t let the weather dampen their spirits and everybody had a wonderful time (including Wes & Gemma even offering to pop outside with umbrellas for portraits in the rain - you guys are awesome!)

We are so thrilled to have Wes & Gemma's day featured in Whimsical Wonderland Weddings HERE. A big honour and a wonderful way to start off our 2016 season!

"Thank you so so much for being fantastic on the day, we thought you guys were brilliant. Any of our friends getting married will have you both highly recommended! The extra pictures just go to show how caring and thoughtful you guys are. Things like that make my day." - Wes & Gemma
