Emma & Rich: Autumn Wedding at The Grand Hall, Bedford

First of all we have to talk about these two rocking their wedding day style – I just love their outfits! Bride Emma looked incredible in a unique soft pink coloured Justin Alexander creation, with layer upon layer of soft tulle for a gorgeous bridal look, and she added an edge with funky leopard print heels! And Rich looked ultra-dapper in his brown tweed suit from my favourite people at the Vintage Suit Hire Company, complete with engraved pocket watch. Love it!

They held their ceremony in a beautiful Catholic church in Bedford, which I just knew would make for gorgeous pictures with the sunshine spilling through the big windows and catching the tulle of her dress. The best ceremonies always have a few tears, and I just love their smiles as they sang the hymns they had chosen.

As they left the church to tight hugs and congratulations, everybody lined up for a fab confetti shot, one of the best we’ve had all year! With the October sunset we got some gorgeous sunshine in the gardens of the church for their portraits, after which we headed to the Great Hall for their reception. I love that they had chosen matching bride and groom caterpillar cakes for their wedding cake, paired with a fab tower of choc brownies made by their friends.

With a room decorated in picture frames, and incredibly touching speeches, it was clear to see how close their families are. The best part of weddings are the relationships between people and Emma & Rich’s day really embodied this.

The disco lights lit up Emma’s dress beautifully as they went into their first dance, followed by a full dance floor right up to the moment we left!

Thanks so much for all of the beautiful photos - they are even better than we had imagined! Thanks for making the photo taking process easy and for allowing us to have such lovely photos to keep forever to remind us of the day.

Lucy & Alex: Autumn Wedding at Chicheley Hall

Lucy & Alex’s day brought us back to the fabulous Chicheley Hall, which will always hold a special place in my heart as it was the venue for one of my first ever weddings!

Lucy looked so elegant in her strapless Maggie Sottero dress, chic updo and killer red shoes, with the boys looking dapper in their morning suits and teal ties. Alex paired his suit with his dream watch which Lucy wrapped up for him as a wedding morning present – a really wonderful surprise.

They chose the little church in the Chicheley Hall grounds for their ceremony, and I just love the way they kept looking at each other throughout their vows. Everybody managed to keep the big secret under wraps: a surprise ring bearer in the form of a gorgeous husky the pair used to own when they lived in England. It was so thoughtful and there were tears and beaming smiles all over the place!

After the ceremony we took a bit of time out to shoot portraits in the beautiful grounds of their venue, before leaving the two to mingle with their closest friends and family. Lucy & Alex descended down Chicheley’s iconic staircase to cheering guests for dinner, such a dramatic and memorable moment!

Later that evening, Lucy returned the earlier surprise by booking a Frank Sinatra style singer much to Alex’s delight, who got everybody up on their feet dancing. After a beautiful choreographed first dance, we left Chicheley with the music pumping and the disco lights shining through the windows. Congratulations you two!

Venue: Chicheley Hall
Dress: Maggie Sottero

Thank you so much for all these wonderful photos. They look incredible and we couldn’t be happier! We very much enjoyed reliving the day through these photos and you have done an amazing job with them!

Jade & Luke: Autumn Countryside Wedding at Gorwell Farm, Weymouth

I love how weddings allow me to visit new places and Jade & Luke’s day was no different, taking us down to picturesque Weymouth for their heartfelt day at Gorwell Farm.

It was one of those weddings where these is just a real closeness between everyone and bucketfuls of emotion.. my absolute favourite! I love her unique lace panelled dress by Alfred Angelo, which she’d cleverly had altered into a backless dress for her own unique twist.

The setting for their day was Gorwell Farm, in their beautiful stone barn with edison bulbs hanging from the ceiling. Their ceremony was beautiful with tears already flowing as Jade walked down the aisle, and they said their vows alongside heartfelt readings from friends. I loved that their families couldn’t wait until they’d walked back down the aisle to hug them.. the second they finished signing the register everybody got up to congratulate them!

One of my favourite things was that Jade & Luke had incorporated time for photographs into their schedule, so we had time to hop into the car and go for a short drive to take photos in front of the gorgeous Dorset scenery.

After emotion-filled speeches they danced the night away to an incredible band, and an open bar meant that we were destined to get some fab dancing shots!

Thank you both so much for having us along to party with you - we loved every second.

Venue: Gorwell Farm
Dress: Alfred Angelo via Luna Daisy Bridal
Bride’s shoes: Carvela at Kurt Geiger
Suit: Hackett Personal Tailoring
Groom’s shoes: Crockett and Jones
Florist: Sophie Ingham

Thank you both for being so amazing on the day. We felt really comfortable with you guys there, you felt like part of the wedding party and blended in with our guests seamlessly.

We just sat down this afternoon to look through everything and absolutely loved the pictures, it was sooooo good going through them and reliving the day - we can’t thank you enough. We’re super excited to go home over Christmas and show the rest of the family - we know that they will be just as delighted as we are and we’re prepared for another round of excessive crying as we flick through them!

Nicola & Kavi: Heartfelt Outdoor Wedding at Sheene Mill, Royston

Nicola and Kavi were married on a beautiful September day in the romantic countryside setting of Sheene Mill in Cambridgeshire. It’s always a tiny risk planning an outdoor ceremony in England but it certainly paid off, with the lakeside pergola creating a magical setting for their day.

I love her beautiful bouquet by the Basement Florist, soft coloured roses paired with purple astrantia and freesias. And a floral headpiece to match, borrowed from one of her bridesmaids as her “something borrowed” – a really lovely touch!

I love the little looks they kept giving each other throughout the ceremony, it was so cute! They left under sprinkles of confetti from their guests and enjoyed drinks and canapes on the lawn.

As a surprise Nicola arranged for Kavi’s wedding breakfast to be served to him in KFC boxes.. his reaction was a joy to photograph!

They had a gorgeous first dance interrupted by a huge confetti canon (something I highly approve of!) and afterwards we sneaked off to get some portraits at night as the pergola is beautifully lit and they have tea lights hanging fom the trees. Off camera flash portraits are a new thing for me so it was great to experiment and try something different.. and I’m so pleased with how the pics came out!

Venue: Sheene Mill, Royston
Dress: Maggie Sottero from Morgan Davies Bridal
Flowers: The Basement Florist

We finally got to sit down and look through our wedding photos! They are so so amazing, thank you so much for capturing all aspects of our day. They’re perfect, we love every single one of them and it’s really emotional seeing it all back.

Thank you so much again, we are really grateful and SO glad we found you to photograph our day!

Lucy & Tim: Elegant Autumn Wedding at Combermere Abbey

I am just eternally in love with Lucy & Tim’s elegant wedding at Combermere Abbey - it was just exquisite and so filled with love. Lucy looked incredible in her Ronald Joyce dress and cathedral length veil, carrying a bouquet of freesias.

For their ceremony, Lucy & Tim chose to get married in a tiny white church on the Welsh border, and I think I can safely say I’ve never seen a lovelier, more charming church. It made for the most perfect small, cosy ceremony and was officiated by one of the most wonderful vicars I’ve ever met.

The rain stopped and started all morning, and just as we arrived at Combermere Abbey it suddenly went from a downpour to sunshine.. we couldn’t have asked for better timing! The wind made for some amazing veil photos and their joy was just palpable and shone through in the photographs.

I just love the unique layout of Combermere Abbey’s walled gardens, with their reception room hidden amongst a maze of fruit trees that hosted welcome drinks and a string quartet.

The styling for their reception was traditional with a modern twist: big, beautiful arrangements of ivory roses with dotted greenery with tea lights in baubles hanging down. Their top table was decorated with a wall of candles which gave a stunning atmosphere as the sun went down.

One of my favourite things about their day was that their guests were so ken to dance that they were boogie-ing along as the band did their sound check! Needless to say it was an amazing evening with a full dance floor from the minute their first dance finished to well after we left!

Thank you both for the privilege of photographing your incredible day - it was magical from start to finish.

Ceremony Venue: St Mary’s Church, Whitewell
Reception Venue: Combermere Abbey
Dress: Ronald Joyce
Suit: Moss Bros
Flowers: Red Floral
Rings: Boodles

Thank you so much for everything you did that day, you made it all feel so easy. Your photographs have been just perfect!
