Yulia & Romain: Mayfair Library Wedding & Reception at The Orrery, Marylebone

Yulia & Romain's wedding brought me back to Mayfair Library for the third time. I just love shooting here - its beautiful understated elegance is perfect for intimate wedding ceremonies and with Mount St Gardens next door it is just great for photographs!

They arrived in a taxi to friends and family waiting outside the venue and a round of applause when they stepped out of the car! Yulia looked incredible in her simple yet beautiful white dress with flowing sleeves, carrying pink roses and white freesias.

After the ceremony we headed to Mount Street Gardens for photographs, followed by a walk through beautiful sunny London to Marylebone High Street, where we stopped at French restaurant The Orrery for a reception on the terrace. With family visiting from France and Ukraine for the wedding, there was lots of catching up to do, complete with champagne and fabulous canapés before dinner!

Yulia & Romain, I'm so honoured you asked me to capture your big day. Wishing you the hugest of congratulations!

"Cat provided outstanding support during the preparation stage and delivered absolutely gorgeous photographs following our wedding. Moreover, she made a great contribution during the wedding itself with her cheerful attitude, kindness, and the ability to gently organise guests when necessary to take group photos. The result was the wedding album full of natural, spontaneous and beautifully presented photographs which captured the best moments of our special day.” - Yulia & Romain

Amy & David: Pastel DIY Outdoor Wedding at Furtho Manor Farm

Amy & David's wedding day was a vibrant, sunshine filled day from start to finish and filled with beautiful homemade details everywhere you looked. Furtho Manor Farm was the perfect canvas for their day, with its spacious barn that they draped in fabric, fairy lights and ribbon, and the field by the lake where they held their ceremony.

I just love love loved Amy's elegant bridal style, with her Justin Alexander lace overlay dress and Rachel Simpson shoes she is a girl after my own heart! She walked down the aisle with her dad to two friends playing the guitar and violin, with friends and family sat on haybales all around. Amy & David said their vows in front of a spectacular floral arch, decorated by my favourite florist, The Basement Florist, in hydrangeas and Juliet roses.

Whilst the ceremony took place, guests participated in a ring warming tradition, with Amy & David’s wedding rings being passed around whilst the ceremony took place, to have their rings blessed with the love of friends and family - such a wonderful idea!

I'll always remember this wedding day because their wedding portraits had a bit of an unexpected twist when we found a little frog which had jumped inside Amy's wedding dress whilst we were shooting – it was such a funny moment and I’m so thrilled we were able to capture it before he jumped back into the grass!

The relaxed, fun vibe of their day continued in the sunshine with garden games, a barbecue buffet style wedding breakfast, dancing into the night and bubble guns and mini tipis for the children to play in. My favourite weddings have a real focus on not only celebrating love but being fantastic fun for everybody there, and the wonderful Amy & David achieved this perfectly with their day.

Amy & David, I couldn't be more honoured that you asked me to photograph your beautiful wedding day. I wish you every happiness for the future!

"WOW! They are far more beautiful than we ever expected (although we knew how talented you were!) we love them, can't wait to share them with nearest and dearest. You are truly wonderful - thank you so so much!" - Amy & David

Beth & Matt: Heartfelt Pastel Wedding at Moggerhanger Park

Ohhhh Beth & Matt's wedding day was just wonderful and so filled with love, not just between themselves but as a celebration of their faith too. They were married at Woodside Church in Bedford, in a heartfelt ceremony with an upbeat church band bringing an element of worship to their day too. The one thing that I remember most about this day is all the little looks between Beth & Matt during the ceremony, beaming with excitement!

After the ceremony, they shared a mini cake-cutting for their church friends and then left in a gorgeous Morris Minor to Moggerhanger Park, the setting for their reception. The flowers in the gardens were in full bloom and it was just a joy to photograph their portraits there.

The reception room at Moggerhanger was the perfect lilac colour to the point where you'd have thought it had been painted to match the colour scheme, set off by lots of handmade flower arrangements in purples, pinks and whites. A friend of the couple had wrapped the staircase rail in vines and roses, and Beth's lovely mum had created all the bouquets and centrepieces, heading to local flower wholesaler Savins and buying gerbera daisies, hydrangeas, roses and gyp to decorate their day with.

With their first dance held amongst a sea of pink and white balloons, you'd swear you were in a film or fairytale as everyone danced the night away to a family friend playing acoustic songs. Thank you Matt & Beth for asking me to photograph your gorgeous day - it was wonderful from start to finish!

"Oh wow - the photos are just incredible, thank you both so, so much! We have had a lovely evening looking through them all and re-living the day. Everyone we have shown the photos to have commented on how amazing they are, and we really appreciate everything you did on the day, we were so relaxed throughout.

Thank you once again for all your hard work and for being such an amazing part of our day, we will cherish these memories forever. Now to pick our favourites, I think it might be impossible!" - Beth & Matt

Steve & Georgina: 1920s Wedding at Swiss Gardens & Shuttleworth Hangar 3

I had always dreamed of shooting a wedding at the Swiss Gardens as it's a place that is really special to me, and Steve & Georgina's 1920s inspired day made it happen!

Their ceremony was a beautifully intimate gathering, held in the Swiss Cottage which seats just 20 people. Georgina wowed us all when she walked down the aisle in her stunning beaded Eliza Jane Howell dress, evening gloves and art deco headdress - a beautiful modern twist on 1920s glitz and glamour. Guests peeked in at the ceremony through the windows as they said their vows and listened to heartfelt readings from family and friends.

Afterwards, everybody headed into the stunning Swiss Gardens for drinks and canapes, and we were lucky enough to have a tour to find fabulous places for Steve & Georgina's portraits. I always thought the Grotto would make an amazing setting for wedding portraits.. and it was just as great as I'd imagined.

Hangar 3 at the Shuttleworth Collection was the setting for their reception, and that was where Georgina's vision truly came to life. Walking into the hangar was a real wow moment, with patriotic bunting hanging from the rafters and tables decorated with fabulous feathered centrepieces and sequinned tablecloths.

Before the wedding breakfast began, guests were treated to a tour of the historic Shuttleworth collection, and we were so grateful to be allowed past the barriers to take portraits next to the aeroplanes - thank you Shuttleworth!

Steve & Georgina, thank you so much for asking me to photograph your day. It was an honour to capture the love and dedicated vision that was your wedding day!

Grace & Mark: Flitwick Church & Garden Marquee Wedding

I think Grace & Mark's wedding day wins the award for hottest of the year - we were blessed with blinding sunshine from start to finish. Lots of suncream needed!

Their day was a beautiful celebration of family and friends, with the gorgeous blue and purple hued bouquets and arrangements made by a friend, the Rolls Royce wedding car owned and chauffeured by a family friend and of course, their sunny celebrations set in a marquee at Grace's parents' beautiful home. Everybody came together to create Grace & Mark's wedding day with them, and every little thing was done with love as a result.

Grace & Mark, it was a huge honour to be asked to capture and be a part of your big day. We wish you every happiness for the future!

"Where do I even begin?  Firstly, thank you for the wonderful photographs. We have already been flicking through and sharing some with out nearest and dearest. They have made us laugh and cry (well, me mainly, but I'm sure he felt it inside!).

On the day of the wedding, we thought you both were exceptional. You were enthusiastic, non-intrusive and captured some wonderful spontaneous moments. You got that balance of making sure the best photos got taken whilst letting the wedding day simply flow.

Mark and I felt we had a wonderful wedding and a cracking reception, and you captured that beautifully. We cannot thank you enough. We now just need to decide on our favourite photographs, which will not be an easy task! Thank you, thank you!" - Grace & Mark
