cat lane weddings

Featured: Local Bedford Press

I'm so pleased to say that over the last few months we've had the pleasure of being featured in not one, but two publications based in our hometown of Bedford: The Bedford Clanger and Community Life Magazine!

Back in April, we were featured in the Bedford Clanger's shopping page, in a special wedding vendor edition alongside talented people such as jeweller Arabel Lebrusan and wedding dress designer Samantha Roach. With many thanks to the Bedford Network ladies who wrote the article, and the Clanger for featuring us!

June brought our latest publication in the form of an article I wrote for Community Life magazine, based on getting the most out of your wedding photography, alongside my favourite wedding planner, TJ of Weddings Rock My World. I'll do my best to get my article written up on this blog soon just in case anybody fancies reading it!

And that's all for now! We've got a very exciting publication coming out soon which I am dying to share.. so keep your eyes peeled :-)

Chee Kee & Luke: Nottingham Lace Market Hotel Wedding

The moment I walked into Chee Kee's room in the Lace Market Hotel, I knew we were in for some beautiful pictures. Not only was their day filled with smiling faces and thoughtful, vibrantly-coloured details, but every inch of the hotel was bathed in light from huge windows. A photographer's dream!

We were there to photograph the English half of their wedding - Chee Kee & Luke were also to fly to Malaysia after the wedding to have another ceremony for friends and relatives on the other side of the world. What a wonderful idea!

Chee Kee & Luke, thank you so much for asking us to capture your day for you. It was a real joy to be there and we wish you a very happy future together!

“You made us feel comfortable and managed to capture all the best bits of the day. Meeting you before the main day at the venue really calmed our nerves and resulted in great pictures.” - Chee Kee & Luke

Martyn & Kate: Chicheley Hall Wedding

Back in November, we had the honour of photographing Martyn & Kate's beautiful winter wedding at one of our all-time favourite wedding venues, Chicheley Hall. We originally met them whilst photographing a Rotary Club dinner a few years back, so it was especially lovely to meet and photograph them at such an important day in their lives.

Good weather at winter weddings can provide a gorgeous sunset for photographs, and luckily this their day provided just that! We managed to get some wonderfully atmospheric photos of them as the sun went down, walking down the corridors of trees in the grounds of Chicheley Hall.

Martyn & Kate, thank you for inviting us to be such a big part of your day. We loved every second!

“They look amazing! Thank you both for all your hard work. We both said that we could not have hoped for two nicer people to enjoy those quieter moments of the day with - so thank you.” - Martyn & Kate

Helen & James: South Farm Wedding

We arrived at South Farm to find the groom and father of the bride setting up the decorations. There was a beautiful DIY aspect to this wedding and it was clear that Helen and James had both worked so hard making all of their own gorgeous pom poms and table decorations to add a personal touch to this already great venue!

South Farm is absolutely beautiful and I'm pretty sure if I'd have gotten married down south, we'd have chosen this place for our own big day! It's just non-stop beautiful, every single corner of it looks amazing in photographs and I can't wait to hopefully shoot here again one day.

The opportunity to photograph this wedding came about when the lovely Nicola Johnson offered me the chance to come along and second shoot for her on the day. Thank you Nicola - I really, really appreciate it!

Karen & John: Lytham St Annes Wedding

Karen and John's wedding was such a fun, happy day and it was absolutely wonderful to be a part of it. They got married at Lytham St Anne's landmark white church and we of course couldn't resist doing some photos next to the beautiful windmill! My husband and I got married in Lytham ourselves, so it's always lots of fun and quite sentimental to come back here and capture other couples' days.

To celebrate, everybody went back to the Rugby Club for fantastic speeches and the best wedding cake I have ever seen - one made entirely out of cheese! Thank you so much Karen and John for choosing us to photograph your day, and we wish you all the best for the future.
